Woohoo! Yeah Baby!
We just got back from our final adoption class. We got a certificate and everything. Of course, it's not really the end of anything, but still it's a milestone. We also passed in our profile questionnaire which is now in the hands of the adoption unit supervisor. Now we wait for an adoption worker to be assigned to us and start scheduling our home visits. Why am I so excited about more waiting?

Congratulations, Karen! That's great news! It is DEFINITELY a milestone -- every step of the way is a milestone, if you ask me. :)
That is great Wendy. It is exciting when things are moving in the right direction.
Did I just call you Wendy. If I did I am sorry. It is late and I got confused. If I didn't ignore this.
You're excited because it IS a milestone! Congrats!
Congrats, Karen on being one step closer to your baby!!! The social workers visits go by really quick... Don't worry about them...
Every little step is progress and progress is good! Congrats!
Hey there, thanks for posting on my blog. I saw the Darwin fish and I laughed - are you an atheist? I am and it's VERY strange to come by. :)
Sky, I think you meant to follow a link to Me's blog; We Are What We Repeatedly Do. Of course, you're welcome to visit my blog too.
Hi Karen,
It is important to celebrate those milestones because they help us to realize that, although slowly, we are moving forward...and slow progress is still progress. Congrats! And thanks for visiting my blog the other day. It's so nice to meet people going through this journey and know that we aren't alone. We can find strength and encouragement from one another. :)
Congrats!
Every step gets you closer to becoming a mom!
Congrats! I say celebrate every success...
I'm here from Babe's blog and wanted to wish you TONS of luck!
It takes a special person to adopt from foster care! We went through the classes and got our certificates but our county is STUPID in taht it wouldn't let us pursue infertility and adoption!
I hope your road is MUCH smoother!
I remember that feeling! For me, it was because I had been given some of the power back. For so long, with infertility, I was powerless as to what the results would be. With adoption, each step of the way, I knew that eventually I would get there and that is so powerful! Congratulations!
it IS so exciting!! I'm so excited for you!
I'm excited too!!
Every little victory is worth a celebration!! There may be more waiting, but this waiting will definitely end with a baby. That is something to be excited about. (:
I am so excited for you!!! (:
This is wonderful to hear! You are on your way to baby. I'm happy for you!
